It’s incredible to think that this charming scene, captured in my photograph titled “Prairie Life”, is located in California rather than the vast plains of Montana or Wyoming. This particular shot was taken in the Ghost Town of Bodie, CA. After spending several hours photographing the historic remnants within Bodie, I turned my attention to the south and discovered an old barn nestled amidst a field of golden grass. The sky was adorned with clouds, enhancing the composition with a grand sense of space. As I ventured closer, I was intrigued by the presence of weathered wooden posts protruding from the ground, adding a final touch to the scene.

I hold such a profound fondness for this picture that I have proudly placed it above my couch in the living room.
