"Come In"

Manhattan Beach CA

The Manhattan Beach Pier stood before me, an imposing structure stretching out over the vast expanse of water. The sky had taken on an ominous appearance, with heavy clouds obscuring the warm hues I had hoped to capture at sunset. Yet, despite the unexpected shift, the scene seemed to beckon me—an invitation to “Come In” and immerse myself in the moody, captivating atmosphere. Realizing the potential for a striking black and white image, I knew I had to embrace the opportunity.

I took multiple exposures, which I skillfully layered together during the editing process to ensure that every intricate detail of the scene was preserved. The end result exceeded my initial expectations, showcasing the expanse of the water and sky seamlessly merging at the horizon. The underbelly of the pier revealed itself in all its unique glory, each detail adding to its distinct character.

It calls the viewer to step right into the frame, inviting exploration into this moment frozen in time.
