"No Where Left to Go"

Among my favorite subjects to photograph are the relics of yesteryears left behind in the heart of nature’s embrace. One of the most iconic examples is the forsaken Point Reyes shipwreck, stranded upon a desolate sandbar just north of San Francisco I captured in black and white I call “No Where Left To Go.” To many, it might appear as mere debris amidst the tranquility of the protected wetlands, yet to photographers like myself, it presents a treasure trove of visual storytelling.
Discovering this weather-beaten vessel on my journey to the Point Reyes Lighthouse was a stroke of serendipity. On that particular day, a gentle rain fell from the sky, though fortunately, it ceased as swiftly as it had begun, leaving behind a canvas of stormy clouds, propelled by the relentless wind. It was within this atmospheric backdrop that I captured the essence of this ancient craft in a striking black and white composition, encapsulating its enduring allure and timeless character.
